Saint-Gobain Display Glass offers a new generation of Anti-Reflection Glasses that features striking improvements when compared to usual AR glasses.
Our AR glasses are based on hard coatings. Therefore, the durability and scratch resistance are dramatically enhanced. As a result, they can be processed in many ways and are fully compatible with all the typical options:
- they can be tempered/heat strengthened for safety,
- they can be curved,
- they can be part of a laminated structure,
- usual edge & corner finishing are available,
- and they are fully screen printable to achieve special designs (black frames, logos, etc).
Yet, optical properties keep the highest standard : light reflection below 0.8% and light transmission above 95 % (8% and 89 % on untreated glass), with perfectly neutral transmission that gives no distortion of displayed colors when compared to untreated glass.
This AR treatment is available either on one single side of the glass, or on both sides.

APPLICATIONS

These glasses might be used for display protection and/or design purposes on various types of displays : LCD, PDP, FED, Electroluminescent Displays.
They are also available at very large sizes (see large displays).
